Bright Star Buddies is all about people who love their pets. We create the cutest personalised gifts for pets & their owners; our personalised Dog Tags are the cutest & most durable Dog Tags in the world & people just can’t get enough of them. As our business expands, we’d like to give one person the amazing opportunity to work from home and join our team as an Outreach & Sales Assistant to grow our presence in the Australian market.

You have the opportunity to work from home up to 40 hours per week, with flexible hours depending on your requirements. You'll be working in Australian Eastern Time Zone, so only a few hours ahead of you. Generous hourly rate for the right candidate.

Please note: You will be working as a consultant for Bright Star Buddies and will not be directly employed, so you will be responsible for paying your own taxes.

To be successful in this role you will need to have a passion for dogs, possess a drive to work independently to reach your goals, and love to build relationships with Dog-Centric audiences. Employing your expertise in Sales you will help us to grow our reach across all media channels to meet our sales & impression targets.

 

About this Role
You’ll work closely with our marketing and creative team in Australia. You will be responsible for helping us to expand our brand into a wider online audience within Australia by outreaching to a variety of influencers and bricks & mortar places like vets & dog breeders.

This role will include:

- Building direct and organic sales through word-of-mouth marketing
- Researching & keeping an organised spreadsheet of potential contacts
- Outreaching - send out flyers and products to influencers to build long term relationships
- Building the brand’s presence in Social Media groups & forums
- Analysing and reporting on the results of your work
- Reflecting on your progress, setting new targets & employing sales strategies to improve your results

 

Do you have what we are looking for?

- You are fluent in Australian English and are able to write in a conversational tone.
- You have a strong sales background and understand how to convert people from browsers to buyers.
- You are passionate about dogs and know all the common breeds.
- You have experience using forums, Facebook and Instagram.
- You are experienced in working independently and keeping track of your progress.
- You are a natural planner, self-starter and love to get things done.
- You’re an exceptional communicator.
- You enjoy seeking out & receiving feedback because it helps you to grow.

 

What does success look like in this role?

- You will have established strong relationships with a network of influencers in the Dog market.
- Direct/organic sales and traffic will increase as a result of your work.
- There will be a steady increase in the amount of people following us across all channels.
- Our impressions & reach will increase exponentially across all platforms
- There will be a large increase in the amount of times we’re tagged in other people’s posts organically
- Your content will see a steady increase in shares, comments & tags
